Music Therapy Leaders

Music Beat Founder Dr Vicky Abad was in Seoul, South Korea from 11 to 15 October for the 2nd Music Therapy World Leaders Forum.

Dr Vicky recently went to South Korea for the Music Therapy 2018 World Music Therapy Association Presidential summit Meetings. She represented Australia in her capacity as the Australian Music Therapy Association President. She was one of 13 world leaders including Canada, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Greece, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Croatia, India, Brazil and of course South Korea.

Leaders shared ideas, thoughts and opinions, discussed the state of play for music therapy in their countries and planned research and clinical collaborations.

A full day conference attended by over 300 South Korean music therapists and students followed. These students got to hear the very latest in therapy practice from around the world.
