In the first week of August 2018, Dr Vicky participated in the prestigious Byron Fellowship program to develop global leaders and entrepreneurs

Music Beat Australia founder Dr Vicky Abad, spent the first week of August in the United States to take part in the 2018 Byron Fellowship.

The 2018 program took place in Asheville, North Carolina from 29 July through 3 August. The program only accepts 20 participants year, and brings together entrepreneurs from around the world who are both making a difference in their communities and are attuned to the challenges we share globally.

Byron Fellowship is a transformational experience, and a community of generative leaders co-creating a flourishing world.

Dr Vicky travelled to the beautiful Warren Wilson College in rural Asheville, North Carolina, to learn alongside a collection of academic teachers and active practitioners.

Dr Vicky was selected to participate based on her demonstration of leadership within her community in service of creating a better world. During this 5-day program, she will craft a clear vision of her contribution to the world and pathways for fulfillment. You can read more about the program at: www.byronfellowship.org

Dr Vicky was thrilled to join an exclusive and prestigious group of 300 global leaders accepted as Bryon Fellows, representing 55 academic fields drawn from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.

After a week in North Carolina’s bear infested woods, she returned to beautiful Brisbane, refreshed and inspired, and ready to welcome more families into the beautiful Kids Music Beat community.

With all the changes we have made to our little business over the past two years, the week afforded me a special time to reflect on whether these all aligned to bring music into people’s lives; to improve family well-being, parent mental health and child development – (yes – they did!)

Our vision to be ‘developing every day’ through music sits at the core of everything we do – and always will.
