Sharing music in the home with young children has lasting educational and developmental benefits according to new research led by the University of Queensland.

The study found that music has many lasting developmental benefits for children, particularly in social, emotional and cognitive development.

Boppin’ Babies founder Vicky Abad, who is part of the UQ research team, said shared music in the home was fundamental to her own parenting and the basis for the Boppin’ Babies music early learning program.
