Music Beat Therapy welcomes Therapy Time occupational therapy

Music Beat Therapy Services is thrilled to announce that from the start of Term 2, 2023 (Monday 17 April) we will be welcoming Therapy Time Occupational Therapy to our newly opened Clayfield clinic.

Therapy Time will provide Occupational Therapy and  Early Intervention services following the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) a few days a week from our Clayfield therapy rooms.

These services will be offered by Therapy Time founder Rachael Smith, who is a certified Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Australia (AHPRA) and a certified ESDM Therapist with the Mind Institute in California, USA.

Rachael said she is thrilled to share the journey she has had with the Music Beat Australia community so far.

“The first part of our story starts with my 18-month-old, Olive, and I attending our first Music Beat Kids Rockin’ Tot music group last year in Nundah,” she said.

“As a mum and an Occupational Therapist, I am always looking for ways to develop Olive’s language and social skills, meet new families in the community, and get ourselves motivated and out of the house (not always as easy as it sounds with a little one)!

“Safe to say, we loved our first class and have hardly missed a week since!

“Olive has enjoyed making new friends and looks forward to seeing Miss Chloe and singing “row-row” (Row Row Your Boat) each Friday morning.”

The next step in Rachael’s story is just as exciting.

“After connecting with Vicky and getting to know more of the Music Beat Therapy team, I was presented with a great opportunity,” Rachael said.

“Therapy Time will find a home at Music Beat Therapy’s new clinic rooms in Clayfield.

“I will be offering Occupational Therapy and Early Intervention services following the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) from Clayfield a few days each week.

“I have more than seven years experience as an OT and I am one of Brisbane’s first Certified ESDM therapists.

“I love working with tiny-tots, teenagers, and all the kiddies in between.  If you are looking for OT or Early Intervention services, I would love to connect with you,” she said.
