Sophie Hopstick

Sophie is a vocalist and percussionist whose love of music was established, nurtured, and cultivated by her mother and grandmother. She plays a wide range of instruments including guitar, piano, drums, and ukulele.

Sophie, a second year student, is studying a double degree in Creative Industries (Music) and Human Services at QUT, in hopes of becoming a music therapist. 

Sophie enjoys performing as much as she can, which has seen her playing in art exhibitions, nursing homes, and even her local Bowls Club. 

Her favourite songs are ‘Scar Tissue’ by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and ‘Great Gig in the Sky’ by Pink Floyd, but do not fear! Sophie loves the Hokey Pokey.
