Lucia Phelan

Lucia is a Registered Music Therapist and Team Leader for wellbeing and mental fitness for Music Beat Therapy Services.

Miss Lucia graduated with a tertiary Music Therapy degree in 2007 in Germany and has been an Australian Registered Music Therapist for nine years.

Lucia has worked with young children to senior adults across various settings including early intervention, disability sector, special education, mental health and aged care. She is passionate about supporting every person in an individual and creative way in order to grow to their fullest potential.

Since arriving in Australia from Germany, Miss Lucia has become a mum and has studied further to become a Family Day Care Educator. This allowed her to spend more time with her own two children during their first years of life, and to enjoy singing lots of children’s songs and music.

Miss Lucia joins Music Beat since she moved with her family to Brisbane in late 2018. She is a Kids Music Beat group leader at childcare centres and community music groups,
